Tebow making moves?

After much criticism, the three-time Heisman candidate is working on making some mechanical changes that will help him "be all he can be." Tim Tebow who was being considered an H-back type player is not giving up on his dream of being an NFL Quarterback. We've seen other college players try to make similar moves in the past, most recently Pat White of the Miami Dolphins. Tebow is working on changing his release; rather than bringing the ball from his hip when throwing, he is now holding the ball up at his shoulder where the prototypical quarterback is asked to hold the ball. Not only is he changing his throwing style, but he is also working in his footwork. Tebow took nearly all of his snaps out of the shotgun while running the spread offense at Florida, now he is working on taking snaps from under center and taking 3 to 5 step drops in the pocket. These are all the necessary steps for a young quarterback like Tebow if he wants to improve his draft stock and become a real NFL Quarterback.

Another Quarterback facing similar problems is Texas' Colt McCoy. He also took snaps out of the shotgun and has limited experience coming from under center, yet he hasn't publicly made any adjustments to prepare for NFL scouts; If I was a scout I think that Tebow's work ethic, athletic ability, and leadership make him more valuable than McCoy at this point in the draft process.

NFL Mock Draft V 3.0

1 - STL: Suh, Ndamukong - DT - Nebraska

-best player in the draft

2 - DET: Gerald McCoy-DT/Oklahoma

-a top 3 talent, and the lions need a DT.

3 - TB: Eric Berry-S/Tennessee

-Could be an Ed Reed type player.

4 - WAS: Jimmy Clausen-QB/Notre Dame

-Best Quarterback skill-wise.

5 - KC: Okung, Russell - T - Oklahoma St.

-the #1 OT in the entire draft

6 - SEA: Sam Bradford-QB/Oklahoma

-Pete Carroll needs a franchise QB to build around

7 - CLE: Joe Haden-CB/Florida

-The Browns have needed a corner for years

8 - OAK: Carlos Dunlap-DE/Florida

-Al Davis is dumb.

9 - BUF: Davis, Anthony - T - Rutgers

-The Bills need a lot of help on the O-Line.

10 - JAX: Derrick Morgan- DE/Georgia Tech

-They might get Tebow here, but maybe they're not that stupid after all.

11 - DEN: Dez Bryant-WR/Oklahoma St.

-Brandon Marshall looks to be on his way out, so Dez is a perfect fit.

12 - MIA: Rolando McClain-ILB/Alabama

-Match made in heaven. Parcells is known for drafting linebackers, if they fill this need in free agency, look for them to get a safety or a receiver. Crowder had a bad year, and Ayodele shouldnt be in a Dolphins uniform in 2010 so McClain makes sense here. But be on the lookout for Taylor Mays, Dez Bryant, or Dan Williams at this spot.

13 - SF: Taylor Mays-S/USC

-A guy that could go higher or lower based on his combine. Mays would be a great addition, and remind niners fans of Ronnie Lott. He's a guy that Singletary would love and he would get to stay in California.

14 - SEA: Spiller, C.J. - RB - Clemson

-A Reggie Bush-type player that Carroll cannot pass up on.

15 - NYG: Thomas, Earl - SS - Texas

-A ball-hawking safety that they desperately need. Might drop due to size and poor tackling.

16 - TEN: Pierre-Paul, Jason - DE - South Florida

-The Titans could use help on their D-Line and JPP is an outstanding prospect.

17 - SF: Williams, Trent - T - Oklahoma

-They need an OT badly. He can step in immediately and be a productive starter.

18 - PIT: Bulaga, Bryan - T - Iowa

-Big Ben needs to stop scrambling for his life, and they need to be able to run the ball.

19 - ATL: Sergio Kindle-OLB/Texas

-They need an OLB and a DE; they got both with him. His stock will stay high after Brian Orakpo's fantastic season.

20 - HOU: Brian Price-DT/UCLA

-A fast rising defensive prospect that could finish that D-line that Houston has been working on.

21 - CIN: Jermaine Gresham-TE/Oklahoma

-Gresham is the answer to their TE questions for years now. He also becomes a brand new target for an already dangerous Carson Palmer.

22 - NE: Brandon Graham-OLB/Michigan

-Graham is a guy who could be a 4-3 DE or a 3-4 OLB. He has the athletic ability that the Patriots love and the sack production that could prove to be very beneficial to their D.

23 - GB: Campbell, Bruce - OT - Maryland

-May not even be here at this point, but the Pack cannot ignore their terrible O-line.

24 - PHI: Navorro Bowman-LB/Penn St.

-An absolute perfect fit for Philly at OLB. He's the newest guy to come out of Linebacker U. He has great productivity which makes up for his lack of size.

25 - BAL: Golden Tate-WR/Notre Dame

-They need to lock up a #1 WR. He's got the hands and speed necessary to be a great player. Plays very similar to the mold of Carolina's Steve Smith or Minnesota's Percy Harvin.

26 - ARI: Dan Wiliams-DT/Tennessee

-A big body that can finally fill up their hole at Nose. Very productive at Tennessee, and could be the missing piece to the Cards defense.

27 - DAL: Everson Griffen-DE/USC

- A productive player who can play the 4-3 or 3-4 DE spot. He stops the run and rushes the passer; a total package player. He could play right away if Spears continues to play poorly or if he leaves via free agency.

28 - SD: Jahvid Best-RB/Cal

-Fast, elusive, and ready to make big runs; everything LT wasn't in 2009.

29 - NYJ: Patrick Robinson-CB/FSU

-Immediately, he would start opposite of Revis. If he plays up to his potential, he could make the Jets secondary, the best in the league.

30 - MIN: Jared Odrick-DT/Penn. St

-A more athletic DT that can replace the aging Pat Williams and keep the D-line strong. They might go with Patrick Robinson or Donovan Warren here after the loss to NO and the injury to Griffin.

31 - NO: Sean Weatherspoon-LB/Missouri

They have needed a LB for a while now. Weatherspoon is highly underrated and could and maybe should be going as high as 19 to the Falcons. They could also be in the market for a Defensive Tackle as well.

32 - IND: Mike Iupati-OL/Idaho

-Very versatile Offensive Lineman who can play both Guard and Tackle. He can help the poor running game in Indy. They will also have their eye on the best Corner or Defensive Tackle available depending on how they perform in the superbowl.
